Just take a gander at this fine craftsmanship. Maybe I’ve just never seen one of these up close but this looked really well done.

A solid effort, although, I’d reserve “very well done” for the craftsmanship shown in the curved and joined masterpieces from back in the day.

That is commitment to wood and must be applauded . But it's not the finest work...nor I believe the most appropriate timber selection for this job.
